Hotels in Italy, Grenada, Greece, Morocco, Thailand and Turkey Join GHOTW

Great Hotels of the World, the London-based hotel sales and marketing alliance, has expanded its global portfolio of hotels with the following new members:

Royal Wing Suites and Spa, Pattaya, Thailand: Since its opening in 1986, the Royal Wing Suites and Spa has been completely renovated to offer 85 suites and a range of pampering facilities. Each suite is personalised with a brass name plaque for the duration of guest’s stays and suites come complete with a private butler service.

The hotel also offers a variety of luxurious facilities including a fitness centre with seven tennis courts, two squash courts, sauna, steam room, gym, aerobic studio and swimming pool. The resort’s catamaran provides private excursions to the nearby islands where activities such as snorkeling, fishing and picnic meals can be arranged. There are many other activities available such as swimming at the hotel’s five swimming pools including an infinity edge pool, water-sports, golf, a luxury health spa, shopping arcade, cooking school, private beaches, beauty salon and a tropical park with jogging trail. Not to mention three restaurants and bars, serving international and contemporary cuisine.

Le Mer Deluxe, Santorini, Greece: Situated in Kamari Village on the Greek island of Santorini, Le Mer Deluxe is contemporary in its style, having only been built in 2009. Traditional Cycladic architecture together with bright and spacious interiors makes Le Mer Deluxe a pristine and polished hotel that retains an atmosphere of comfort and relaxation.

This brand new and modern hotel sits just 50 metres from the golden beach and offers luxurious facilities including a gourmet restaurant, two swimming pools, squash facilities, mini-golf and table tennis. The hotel also boasts a conference and business centre and spa featuring an indoor pool, Jacuzzi, hammam pool and indoor pool.

Grenada Grand Beach Resort, Grand Anse, Grenada: Located in Grand Anse, overlooking the picturesque shore whilst still in easy reach of the shopping, finance and restaurant districts, Grenada Grand Beach Resort is an idyllic beauty spot in the Caribbean fronting on 20 acres of beachfront. The resort boasts excellent accommodation and facilities with contemporary bright and airy rooms with a beachside feel, set amid tropical gardens. The resort contains the island’s only freeform 300ft swimming pool with two waterfalls, two whirlpools and a swim-up bar and poolside restaurant set amongst beachside gardens filled with flowers and banana trees.

Marti Resort Hotel, Marmaris, Turkey: Marti Resort Hotel offers a prime location in Içmeler Bay, the most picturesque area of Marmaris. The luxury resort consists of 268 rooms and 12 deluxe villas all with a view of Içmeler Bay. Elysion Hotel, Mytilini, Greece: The Elysion Hotel is a new build located in classical Mytilene and is home to magnificent views over the nearby beach and sea. The hotel offers guests a calming zen-like experience, with every bedroom boasting a sea view. The complex is spread over three levels and houses 24 guestrooms, four junior suites and a family room. The hotel also contains an executive wing housing six superior suites.

There are many leisure activities on offer at the hotel including a swimming pool, children’s pool, 10-metre proximity to the beach front, nearby horse riding centre, nearby tennis courts, scuba diving, guided trekking and mountain biking. The hotel also runs special themed nights during summer months, featuring cuisine such as Indian and Japanese in their restaurant, which usually bases its menu on European and Mediterranean cuisine.

Villa Armena Relais and Beauty Farm, Tuscany, Italy: Located in the beautiful region of Tuscany, Villa Armena Relais and Beauty Farm is surrounded by a wealth of history. The hotel was originally created in the 16th Century and the site’s original villa was designed by one of the most well-known architects of the Italian Renaissance - Baldassare Peruzzi. Following a full restoration to preserve its red brick exterior with original oak beams and terracotta floors, Villa Armena is now an exclusive boutique hotel that boasts stunning scenery and picturesque grounds in a classic space.

The hotel also features many romantic offerings for guests including the beautiful ‘Gardens of Perfume’, where guests can take a relaxing stroll through the fragrant gardens planted with roses, cypress, maritime pine and olive trees. Their ‘Il Sorbo Allegro’ restaurant allows guests to sample a menu of local produce and cuisine. Villa Armena's beauty farm offers guests a range of ancient Roman and Mediterranean spa rituals or the opportunity to simply enjoy the indoor and outdoor pools.

Hotel Imperial Plaza, Marrakech, Morocco: Hotel Imperial Plaza is set in the heart of Marrakech in Semlalia Square, within walking distance of the major attractions. The hotel boasts spacious and comfortable guestrooms and ten suites that offer separate living rooms, four-poster beds and large terraces for that extra dose of luxury.

The building has a very special structure which enables the hotel to offer a magnificent view over Marrakech from its sixth floor, where guests can admire the Atlas Mountains and the famous ‘Koutoubia’ mosque.
