Allan Federer Joins Ritz-Carlton Dubai as General Manager

Allan Federer has been appointed as the new general manager of The Ritz-Carlton, Dubai, one of the most successful Ritz-Carlton hotels in the world.

Apart from the weighty task of leading an experienced team of 267, Mr. Federer is responsible for generating maximum revenue, and preparing the hotel for its continued growth with the completion of its expansion project.

Mr. Federer has over 30 years of experience in the hospitality industry in senior management positions including sales and marketing across North America, Europe and Asia.

Prior to his new Dubai appointment, Mr. Federer assumed leadership of The Ritz-Carlton, Dove Mountain to complete the opening and remaining capital works to introduce the new resort to the North American meetings and luxury travel markets in end of 2009.

A Canadian national, Mr. Federer has held five general manager positions in the last 10 years within The Ritz-Carlton Hotel company. Other properties he has successfully managed include The Ritz-Carlton hotels in Powerscourt in Ireland, Singapore, Istanbul and Montreal. He has also held several senior regional positions in a number of luxury and boutique hotels in North America.

An avid traveller, Mr. Federer read History and Literature in the University of London and completed the Advanced Management Program at the School of Hospitality at Cornell University.
