Benny Chung Appointed GM of Peninsula.Excelsior Hotel in Singapore

Mr Benny Chung has been appointed as General Manager of the 600-room Peninsula.Excelsior Hotel in Singapore.

A veteran hotelier with 26 years of working experience, he has worked with international hotel chains such as Hyatt, Mandarin Oriental, Regent, Concorde and InterContinental Hotels Group.

He has just spent six years in China, where he was involved with the repositioning of the Crowne Plaza Jinan. He also opened the 700-room Crowne Plaza Yantai and most recently, he was General Manager of the Holiday Inn Hefei Downtown.

The Peninsula.Excelsior hotel recently completed a renovation of its 600 rooms and suites in the 2 towers at the cost of Sin$25 million. The renovation included 6 Premier Club Floors with a 4,000 sq ft 2-level executive Sky Lounge located on the top floor of Peninsula Tower that now offers unobstructed views of the Marina Bay waterfront, the Singapore River and the Central Business District skyline.
