Dusit International has appointed Rami Taim as regional Senior Regional Sales Manager Middle East.

Reporting to the Global Director of Sales, Simon Burgess, based in Bangkok, Taim will be responsible for developing both inbound and outbound business for Dusit International worldwide from the Middle East.

The new role will be responsible for the organisation of trade shows and sales missions across the region, as well as setting up and hosting familiarisation trips for the different Dusit International properties.

Taim has a solid track record in establishing and maintaining relationships with key corporate, wholesale and tour operator accounts. He will work closely with the revenue management team to assess market trends and direct sales efforts accordingly.

With over fourteen years experience in the region, most notably in the UAE, Taim’s previous role was at the Shangri-La Dubai where he held the position of business development manager for the GCC and Middle East in charge of the leisure and corporate sectors.

He has also held similar positions with Tamani Hotel Marina and Holiday Inn Hotels & Resorts as well as Sofitel City Centre Hotel and Al Ain Rotana.

“The Middle East business for Dusit International properties increased by 20% last year and with a view on the long term strategic importance of the region, we are strengthening the sales team with the appointment of Rami Taim, Senior Regional Sales Manager. Mr Rami Taim will support our existing five properties in the region which will become six later this year with the opening of Dusit Thani Abu Dhabi. In addition, as our new representative, he will be targeting outbound business for our hotels based outside the region. With his experience and background we are confident that the business will grow even further” said Simon Burgess.
