Air China to Launch Direct Beijing / Shanghai - Jiuzhaigou Flights

From 25 April 2010, Air China will launch direct flights between Beijing and Jiuzhaigou, and from 10 May 2010 direct flights between Shanghai and Jiuzhaigou. As these new direct routes will not pass via Chengdu, flight times will be cut by four hours and ticket costs will be slashed by more than RMB 1,000.

During the launch period, Air China will offer the Beijing- Jiuzhaigou “tickets+ hotels” package and the Shanghai- Jiuzhaigou “tickets+ hotels” package at RMB 2,500 and RMB 1,890 respectively.

Air China will deploy a Boeing 757 on the new direct routes. The Beijing- Jiuzhaigou daily direct flight, with the flight number CA4121/2, will depart from Beijing Capital Airport at 11:50 and arrive at Jiuzhaigou Huanglong Airport at 14:20. The return flight will depart from Jiuzhaigou Huanglong Airport at 08:40 the next day and arrive at Beijing Capital Airport at 10:50. The flight time will be about 2 hours.

From 10 May, Air China’s direct routes between Shanghai and Jiuzhaigou will be launched. The daily flight, with the flight number CA4523/4, will depart from Shanghai Pudong Airport at 11:50 and arrive at Jiuzhaigou Huanglong Airport at 15:10. The return flight will depart from Jiuzhaigou Huanglong Airport at 08:20 the next day and arrive at Shanghai Pudong Airport at 10:50.

Over the coming year, Air China will continue to improve its domestic network construction. Besides the Jiuzhaigou direct routes, Air China will also launch 11 other domestic routes and resume the Shanghai-Guilin and Tianjin-Xiamen routes.
