Travel News Asia Latest Travel News Podcasts Videos Friday, 25 June 2010

Frasers Hospitality has expanded its footprint in the region with the grand opening of its maiden property in Kuala Lumpur, the Fraser
Place Kuala Lumpur, the first of two serviced residences to open in the heart of the city.

Located in the prestigious ‘Golden Triangle’ and within walking distance of the iconic Petronas Towers, Fraser Place Kuala Lumpur occupies floors 9-30 of an integrated retail and office complex, and is surrounded by world-class shopping malls, vibrant nightclubs and trendy alfresco dining.

“This new property reflects all the hallmarks of the Fraser Place brand, in particular its great location,” said Mr Choe Peng Sum, Chief Executive Officer, Frasers Hospitality Pte Ltd. “As we expand our footprint globally, a key imperative for our Fraser Place properties – from London to Bahrain, from Shanghai to Paris -- is an ideal, inner-city location in the heart of the entertainment district.”

The Jalan Perak property comprises a total of 215 studios, one and-two bedroom apartments and penthouses with sweeping views across the city skyline.

Key features include an infinity pool which overlooks the city from the 18th floor, a large well-equipped gymnasium complete with aerobics and yoga studio, Nintendo Wii playroom, Simmons beds and rain showers, all designed to meet the needs of the business traveller seeking a cosmopolitan experience in dynamic KL.

A second property, Fraser Residence Kuala Lumpur is currently under construction on the vacant land facing both Jalan Ampang and Jalan Sultan Ismail in the Golden Triangle and is scheduled for completion in 2012.

“We are pleased to finally open in KL. The wait has been worthwhile as we will soon have not one, but two, superb purpose-built properties that set new benchmarks for our brands,” added Mr Choe.
