Els Ramadhinta joins The Portman Ritz-Carlton as Senior Director of Communications

The Portman Ritz-Carlton, Shanghai recently appointed Els Ramadhinta as senior director of communications.

Her key role is to lead and oversee the communications team, spearheading public relations and marketing communications strategy and activities for the hotel.

Ms. Ramadhinta is a long standing Ritz-Carlton employee and most recently held director of public relations position for The Ritz-Carlton, Dubai, UAE. Prior to Dubai, Ms. Ramadhinta came from her native home in Jakarta, Indonesia where she was at the helm of the public relations departments for both The Ritz-Carlton, Jakarta and The Ritz-Carlton Jakarta, Pacific Place since 2006.

 Ms Ramadhinta also has held various other public relations positions including public relations manager for Accor group in Indonesia where she oversaw 34 Accor properties from 2004 to 2006, and Pan Pacific Hotels & Resort from 2002.

With more than eight years experience in the hospitality industry, Ms Ramadhinta started her public relations career with The Pan Pacific Hotels & Resorts in the Indonesian capital. An avid golfer, Ms Ramadhinta holds a diploma in Public Relations and Marketing from InterStudi Public Relations School in Jakarta, Indonesia.

The 610-room Portman Ritz-Carlton, Shanghai is a landmark located in Shanghai Centre, a retail, dining and entertainment complex on the famous Nanjing Road. The hotel features six restaurants and lounges serving Chinese, Italian, Japanese and Western favorites. An extensive health club with swimming pool, gym, squash and racquetball courts is featured alongside a fully-equipped business center.
