Andrew Turner joins Anantara’s First Resort in China as GM

Mr. Andrew Turner has been appointed as General Manager of Anantara’s first property in China, the Anantara Sanya Resort & Spa which is scheduled to open in early 2011.

Turner has a wealth of resort opening and managerial experience across many different cultures. He joins Anantara from a General Manager role at Solis Lough Eske Castle in Donegal Town, Ireland.

Since graduating from The Hotel School InterContinental, Sydney in 1993, he has gained over 15 years’ international hotel management experience.

Turner has held management roles with The Ritz-Carlton in Australia, the US, Egypt, Qatar and China as well as assisting in numerous hotel openings including the Capella Hotel and Resort, Castlemartyr, Ireland.

Turner’s climb up the hospitality career ladder continued in the Middle East with his first General Manager appointment at The Ritz-Carlton Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt and as Hotel Manager at The Ritz-Carlton in Doha Qatar, culminating in a wealth of opening and leadership expertise.
