Fairmont Singapore launches Youth Olympic Games Promotion

Are you game for an action-packed, energy driven Sports ‘Adven-tour’ that helps you to keep fit and have a ball of fun while on holiday? Fairmont Singapore, Official Hotel Partner of the inaugural Singapore 2010 Youth Olympic Games (YOG) has launched the YOG Sports ‘Staycation’ room promotion.

The fun-filled package includes accommodation complete with an in-room Nintendo Wii Fit console and a selection of sports games; an exhilarating Sports ‘Adven-tour’ experience at Sentosa island comprising kayaking, cycling and flying trapeze activities; and a pair of YOG Mascot Plush Toy Key Rings with the Games’ mascots Lyo and Merly as a keepsake.

Guests can also book for optional sports activities led by the hotel’s certified fitness trainers from Willow Stream Spa. This includes Energy Hour – a condensed fitness bootcamp featuring various team sports games and exercises to build endurance and sharpen athletic skills; and a City Tour Run around the Marina Bay area, past iconic Singapore attractions such as the Padang, Esplanade and Boat Quay.

Mr Ian Wilson, General Manager of Fairmont Singapore said, “Given their boundless potential of energy, sports is a great way to engage the youth and is an interactive platform for parents to bond with their teenage children, whilst encouraging the entire family to keep fit and healthy together as a ‘team’. With the school and summer holidays upon us, we hope that this action-packed sports vacation package will lure youths out of the virtual world of computer games, into the real world of adrenalin-pumping sports.”

Guests may also use the sprawling spa and recreational facilities at Willow Stream Spa, including a comprehensive fitness centre, two outdoor swimming pools, six tennis courts, a Jacuzzi and relaxation lounge to unwind after a day of energetic activity. Those who wish to take the opportunity to master their strokes on the court may arrange for private tennis lessons by a professional coach, or book the court to play other sports such as badminton, soccer and handball.

The Youth Olympic Games Sports ‘Staycation’ is available until 31 December 2010. Price for two adults and one child start around Sin$535 nett per room, per night. Price for two adults and two children from Sin$895 nett per two rooms, per night. Terms and conditions apply.

The Youth Olympic Games Sports ‘Staycation’ Promotion includes:

- Accommodation in a Fairmont Room with Nintendo Wii Fit console and games
- Breakfast buffet at Prego restaurant or Alligator Pear poolside restaurant
- Sports ‘Adven-tour’ – Kayaking, Cycling and Flying Trapeze activities at Sentosa island: 11am – 4pm, lunch and transport provided to/from the hotel
- A pair of YOG Mascot Plush Toy Key Rings

Optional activities available for booking:

- City Tour Run around the Marina Bay area (complimentary; by appointment only)
- Energy Hour – Fun-filled session of team games and fitness-boosting exercises: Sin$60 per session (minimum 3 pax.)
- Rental of tennis courts for tennis or other sports activities at Sin$20 per hour
- Tennis lesson by professional coach at Sin$70 per session
