Hard Rock Hotel Penang Appoints Shane Coates as EAM

The Hard Rock Hotel Penang, the 250-room musical and entertainment themed beach resort in Batu Feringghi, Penang has appointed Mr. Shane Coates as the new Executive Assistant Manager for this property effective November 2010.

 Shane is responsible in assisting the General Manager, John Primmer in all operational areas including Front Office, Engineering, Food & Beverage, and Safety & Security. He will also oversee the other lifestyle amenities under the Hard Rock brand such as the Rock Spa and Rock Shop.

Hailing from Australia, Shane has over 16 years of experience in various roles within the hospitality industry working with companies such as Starwood Hotels & Resorts, Voyages Hotels & Resorts, Stamford Hotels & Resorts.

Prior to joining the Hard Rock Hotel Penang, Shane was employed by TOGA Hospitality in numerous General Managers positions. His past experience also includes hotel refurbishments, openings and takeovers.
