Susie Lim-Kannan joins Swisstel as Director Media Relations, Asia Pacific

Swisstel Hotels & Resorts has appointed Susie Lim-Kannan as Director Media Relations, Asia Pacific, where she will oversee the 11 Swisstel properties in the region.

Ms. Lim-Kannan will provide strategic support to the marketing communications department of each hotel as well as build and manage the Asia Pacific media network.

With a career that spans over two decades, Ms. Lim-Kannan brings to Swisstel Hotels & Resorts extensive marketing and public relations expertise in the luxury hospitality and performing arts sectors and is experienced in launching media relations campaigns to position new hotels and resorts. Joining the company from Capella Singapore at Sentosa Island where she was Director of Marketing Communications with oversight of PR agencies in key Asian and European cities.

Previously, Ms. Lim-Kannan held several senior executive appointments for luxury and deluxe hotels in the Asia Pacific region. She was Director of Communications for Shangri-Las Villingili Resort & Spa Maldives as well as Director of Marketing Communications for the Fullerton Hotel Singapore. She also worked for the Mandarin Oriental, Singapore, and at the start of her career, for Hotel New Otani and the former Oberoi Imperial Hotel in Singapore.

Ms. Lim-Kannan also has experience in the Arts when she worked as a publicist for the UWA Perth International Arts Festival in Australia and for the Esplanade Theatres on the Bay Singapore.
