FCm Travel Solutions appoints James Kavanagh as Nation Leader

FCm Travel Solutions has appointed James Kavanagh as its nation leader for Queensland.

James is no stranger to the FCm team after starting his career with the company more than a decade ago as a travel consultant in Ireland.

Considered a specialist in travel account management, operations and team leadership, James has more than 12 years experience in corporate travel management and has worked for FCm globally and in Australia.

As the companys new nation leader for Queensland James, who is based in Brisbane, will be responsible for the future direction, business expansion and growth of Flight Centre Limiteds corporate brands in Queensland including FCm Travel Solutions, Flight Centre Business Travel and Corporate Traveller.

James will lead the operations, sales and account management functions to ensure customer acquisition, retention and profit targets are met. Part of the role also includes maintaining and developing key relationships with customers and suppliers.

James previous roles with FCm include Queensland area leader where he looked after travel management services operations and account management.

James has also worked as a regional account manager for Asia Pacific within FCms global team as well as a state account manager for Campus Travel, which is the leading travel management services provider to Australias academic sector.

He also spent time lecturing on travel and tourism at Irelands Stillorgan Senior College in Dublin.
