Iberia signs New Full Content Agreement with Travelport GDS

Travelport GDS has signed a new global full content agreement with Spanish flag-carrier Iberia.

The multi-year agreement secures all Travelport GDS-connected travel agents worldwide with access to the airline’s full range of published fares and inventory with immediate effect.

Jose Arribas VP Commercial Logistics for Iberia said, “Travelport GDS has worked hard with us to support the distribution needs of our business and help overcome the challenges that exist in the current trading environment. Their technical expertise and depth of coverage worldwide is second to none.”

Iberia, which is present in over a hundred destinations in 40 countries, is one of the leading airline in the Europe-Latin American market, as well as routes connecting Spain with Europe and the USA. In 2008 Iberia carried 28.5 million passengers.

Travelport has content agreements with the vast majority of leading European airlines including Aeroflot, Aegean Airlines, Air Berlin Group, Air France, Alitalia, Austrian, bmi, British Airways, Brussels Airlines, Finnair, Flybe, KLM, Lufthansa, SWISS, TAP Air Portugal, SAS and Virgin Atlantic.
