Astudo appoints New Group Vice President Business Development

Astudo Hotel & Resort Management has appointed Sorathep Rojpotjanaruch as Group Vice President Business Development.

Sorathep Rojpotjanaruch will be based at Astudo’s Bangkok Head Office and will oversee the group sales, marketing and reservations of the 4 brands in Astudo’s portfolio including X2 Resorts, Away Resorts, Le Bayburi and The Base Hotels. As well as to control and develop services and standards of all hotels and resorts and assist in the pre-opening technical services of new hotels.

Sorathep, a Thai national who speaks fluent Thai and English, graduated in International Business Management at the University of Thai Chamber of Commerce. Over the last decade he has held a myriad of executive sales positions for leading hotels such The Choice International Thailand, Quality Hotel in Bangkok, the Montien Riverside Hotel in Bangkok and the Springfield Group.

During his career he has made an extensive number of sales trips to attend road shows and trade fairs in England, Germany, Denmark, Sweden, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Hong Kong, Japan and Korea. Prior to his present appointment at Astudo Hotel & Resort Management, he worked as Group Director of Sales and Marketing at the Springfield Group.

Astudo Hotel and Resort Management Company is a Thai based international hotel management services company. The company typically provides hotel consulting and management for boutique and mid sizes hotel from 50 to 200 rooms. The company is owned and operated by a mix of international and local executives with experience in all areas of the hotel industry.
