Travel News Asia Latest Travel News Podcasts updated: Tuesday 1 June 2009

Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts has launched MaxiMICE, a rewards initiative that gives meeting organisers a credit towards their next meeting.

Until 31 December 2009, MICE organisers who confirm a meeting group will enjoy a 10% credit, which they can use for their next meeting at any of the 62 Shangri-La hotels and resorts worldwide.

Organisers can enjoy a maximum credit of US$5,000 for any bookings with a minimum of only 10 rooms plus meeting facilities.

“At Shangri-La, we understand the budget pressures that busy event organisers face, needing to maximise their returns without compromising the standard of excellence in delivering successful events. Our event customers tell us that Shangri-La’s exceptional meeting experience means they want to come back, and we seek to develop long term business partnerships with organisers,” said Kent Zhu, group director of sales and marketing, “therefore we are rewarding repeat events with budget stretching incentives.”
