Travel News Asia Latest Travel News Podcasts Wednesday, 18 February 2009

IDeaS Revenue Optimization, a provider of revenue management and optimization solutions and services and SAS, a company that specialises in business analytics, are to host an hospitality education seminar in Singapore on Thursday 5 March.

The educational seminar is being staged in response to overwhelming industry demand for specialized support, tailored for the current economic climate.

“Amidst the market turmoil caused by the credit crunch, the need to optimize profit and build customer loyalty becomes ever more important,” said Allan Taylor IDeaS Regional Director of Sales, Asia. “The SAS / IDeaS Hospitality Seminar presents a unique opportunity to hear what leading industry practitioners have to say about the benefits that predictive analytics and revenue management solutions can bring during times of economic downturn.”

Tailored for the unique needs of the industry, the SAS / IDeaS Hospitality Seminar will deliver valuable insights about guest behaviors, demand patterns, property performance, promotional campaigns, loyalty programs and more.

The SAS / IDeaS Hospitality seminar will seek to provide hospitality organisations with key business insights focusing on:

• Who are organizations’ most valuable customers?
• What pricing strategies should be used for hotel rooms in order to maximize my profits for the whole property?
• How should marketing resources be utilized to attract and retain the most profitable customers with offers that are tailored to their particular interests?

Traditionally, simple query and reporting tools, coupled with instinct and intuition have sought to address issues surrounding guest profit optimization. However, the current economic climate demands more advanced decision support solutions with predictive analytics and optimization capabilities.

“With disparate systems for each arm of a hospitality organization - from hotel and convention rooms, spas, restaurants to retail and entertainment – it is sometimes difficult to get a complete view of total guest spend,” said Benjamin Lim, Assistant Solution Head, Customer Intelligence, SAS Singapore. “The right decisions lead to increased guest satisfaction, loyalty and profitability. The wrong decisions could mean sending your guests to your competitor.”

The SAS / IDeaS Hospitality seminar will assist businesses in helping formulate solid strategies and performance metrics for individual venues, services and campaigns – while maximizing guest experience and profitability for the whole organization.
