Costa Cruises, Italy’s largest tourism group, has set up a new unit called World Wide Sales Services (WWSS) to help it achieve its global sales objectives.

The unit will be headed by Massimo Brancaleoni who was previously Vice President of Costa Cruises’ Pacific Asia Operations. Mr Brancaleoni moved from Hong Kong to Genoa to be based at the company’s headquarters.

As Vice President WWSS, Mr Brancaleoni will be responsible for supporting Costa Cruises’ commercial organisations worldwide through the newly created WWSS department, which will facilitate sales processes, implement best practices and optimise shared services.

The department will strive to enhance performances in sales activities, while taking into account the specific business identities of individual markets.

Following the move, Leo Liu, General Manager of Costa Cruises China, and Dario Rustico, Sales and Marketing Director of the company’s Pacific Asia Operations, will report directly to President of Costa Cruises, Gianni Onorato.

The new WWSS department will operate with internal structures, including the Electronic Groups and Channels, Sales Community, Global Contact Centre, as well as Deployment and Itineraries.
