Siti Banding Strengthens ITB Asia’s Buyers Programme

Messe Berlin (Singapore), the organiser of ITB Asia, has appointed Siti Banding as Assistant Director – Buyers’ Programme.

The B2B show, which had a very successful inaugural show in 2008, caters to the leisure, MICE and business travel sectors of the industry. The second ITB Asia, will take place in Singapore 21-23 October 2009.

Banding takes up her new role with over a decade of industry experience. She has worked on other regional travel trade shows such as the ASEAN Tourism Forum, IT&CMA, IT&CM China, Corporate Travel World, and Corporate Travel & Technology World.

“As the trade show for the Asian travel market, it is vital that we have the best buyers who have the power to purchase travel products,” said Whey Whey Ng, General Manager of Messe Berlin (Singapore).

“Siti will help us identify quality buyers who have a proven track record and arrange for them to engage fully with ITB Asia’s exhibitors. We aim to satisfy the high expectations of both buyers and sellers.”

Banding will have overall project management for the buyers’ programme and be responsible for validating all registered applicants. She will manage and oversee ITB Asia’s pre-scheduling appointments system.
