China Southern Airlines launches Take a Friend Promotion in Australia

China Southern Airlines has launched a Premium Business Class promotion for passengers travelling in pairs from Sydney and Melbourne to Guangzhou, China.

The “Take your Friend” fare starts from A$2869 for the first passenger and from only A$1849 for their travel companion, plus taxes of approximately A$230-260 per person.

Passengers can also take advantage of a bonus domestic add-on at no additional cost, flying in Economy Class to their choice of Hong Kong, Shanghai or Beijing.

An upgrade to Premium Business Class for domestic add-ons is available for an additional A$200 for the first passenger and A$180 for their travel companion.

Between Australia and China, the spacious Premium Business Class cabin in China Southern’s Airbus A330-200, features 24 Minipod sleeper seats each encased in a special “privacy shell”, and with a generous of 146 cm of legroom.

The seats recline to become a 1.9 metres long flat bed that includes a pull-out privacy divider.

Passengers will experience even more comfort with the independent rotating leg rest, electrically-operated foot rest extension and a fully adjustable, automatic lumbar massage function.

The “Take your Friend” fare is for two adult passengers travelling together. It is valid for sale until 25 May 2009 for travel immediately until 22 September 2009. Blackouts apply from 1-20 July 2009.
