Bassam Banna joins Marriott General Sales Office - Jordan / North Africa

The Marriott General Sales Office in Jordan and North Africa has appointed Bassam Banna as Director of Market Sales.

In his new role, Mr. Banna will be in charge of sales for Marriott International hotels and the development and implementation of Marriott Global strategies in Jordan and North Africa. He will also be responsible for achieving the set revenue goals, guest and employee satisfaction targets besides spearheading the financial performance of the markets.

Bassam has over 18 years of experience in human relations, direct sales, public relations, corporate communications and marketing in Jordan and across the Middle East.

He joined the hospitality industry 13 years ago, opening Marriott’s first international sales network in Saudi Arabia and Bahrain, moving along to operations as Director of Sales and Marketing at Jeddah Marriott until 2003. Over the last 5 years, Bassam has held various leadership positions within the hospitality industry in Jordan, Saudi Arabia and Kuwait.

Commenting on the appointment, Samir Daqqaq, Vice President, Global Sales – Middle East and Africa, said, “Bassam’s experience and passion for the hospitality business made him the candidate of choice for the post in Jordan and North Africa.
