Second LUXX to Open in Bangkok in April

Travel News Asia Latest Travel News Podcasts Wednesday, 11 March 2009

Following the successful opening of the first LUXX in Bangkok in the year 2006, the innovative hotel group is now preparing to open its second hotel in the city this April.

The LUXX XL is located along the upmarket Langsuan road, which connects Central Chidlom / BTS Skytrain Chidlom Station on one end, to Lumpini Park at the other.

LUXX XL is housed in a 7-storey design building. One highlight of the hotel is ‘dip’ - a 12 metre infinity edge and slate stone-finished salt-system swimming pool. From there, one can hang out at ‘Milk’ – a New York style glass bar that overlooks the swimming pool and the garden. They are grouped together as features of ‘Club LUXX’ – which includes the fitness room, a fancy home sala-style business center and an executive lounge by the garden. By 2010, a newly built fitness and business centre will also be available for guests.

Rooms are characterized by studios and suites in varied sizes and style. They come in 33 sqm to 47 sqm for the studio room collections, from 66 sqm for the one-bedroom suites, up to 99 sqm to 208 sqm for two-bedroom suites.

All LUXX XL rooms feature carefully crafted furniture and minimalist finishing and fittings made of teak wood, slate stone and polished or matte stainless steel. They come with floor to ceiling windows and private balconies.

LUXX also believes in a “fun bathroom” concept so bathrooms have open partitions.

In-room entertainment includes LCD TV’s, DVD+CD+MP3 players, iPOD docking stands (available at suites) and complimentary WiFi in all rooms and public areas.

Expatriates and long staying guests can book the LUXX XL Home Suites, which combine the services and amenities of the hotel and serviced-apartments.
