Skal Phuket elects New Executive Committee

Skal Phuket recently elected its new Executive Committee for the 2008/2009 season at a monthly dinner event which was held at the Mangosteen Resort & Spa in Phuket, Thailand.

Outgoing President, Hajo von Keller (MD, Mangosteen Resort & Spa) handed over the reins to Blandine Cressard (GM at the Novotel Cape Panwa) after a productive three years at the helm. Ms. Cressard passed her financial duties as Treasurer to newly-elected, Jaspal Singh (Owner of Jaspal Tailors). The newly-elected Secretary is Mr. Jorge de la Torre (MD LatinThai Co., Ltd) who is taking over from Andrew A. Swatdipakdi (GM, Kata Beach Resort) who held the position for the last 2 years.

Vice President, Claude Sauter (GM, Cape Panwa Hotel) and PR/Marketing Executive, Fredy Mnger (MD, BitSiren Co, Ltd.) both remain in their respective positions for another term.

Skal is one of the largest travel and tourism organizations in the world. Membership is made up of the top executives in the industry. 

Skal International-Phuket and South Thailand is a professional organisation of leaders from all branches of the travel and tourism industry. The aim of the club is to promote global tourism and friendship.

The club's dinner meetings, usually held on the third Thursday of each month, offer members and guests a venue for networking and discussion. Most meetings feature a presentation by a notable speaker or member of the business community.
