Vivienne Willison, Sales Director for the Malta-based Corinthia Hotels International has been appointed to fill Corinthia’s seat on the Africa Travel Association’s (ATA) International Board of Directors.

ATA, based in New York, is a professional travel industry association promoting tourism to the continent of Africa. On the continent, this includes the Corinthia Atlantic Hotel in The Gambia, The Ramada Plaza Tunis in Tunisia, the five-star Corinthia Bab Africa Hotel in Libya, the Wyndham Port Lixus Resort in Morocco opening 2010, the Corinthia Hotel Algiers opening 2009/2010 and the Benghazi hotel in Libya opening 2010.

CHI is also close to confirming a multi-property deal in Egypt, while also looking at several other hotel management propositions throughout the African continent.
