Bangkok Airways to Add Flights to Phuket, Chiang Mai and Samui

Bangkok Airways is increasing its frequency on the Bangkok-Chiang Mai, Bangkok-Phuket and Phuket-Samui in the airline's winter schedule commencing 26 October 2008.

The airline will fly to Chiang Mai three times daily. The first flight PG215 will leave Bangkok (Suvarnabhumi Airport) at 08:00 arriving in Chiang Mai at 09:10, the second flight PG217 (except Friday) will leave Bangkok (Suvarnabhumi Airport) at 12:20 arriving in Chiang Mai at 13:35 and the third flight PG219 leaves Bangkok (Suvarnabhumi Airport) at 19:05 to arrive to Chiang Mai at 20:20.

On the Bangkok-Phuket route. The first flight PG271 will leave Bangkok (Suvarnabhumi Airport) at 08:10 arriving in Phuket at 09:30, the second flight PG924 will leave Bangkok (Suvarnabhumi Airport) at 11:45 arriving Phuket at 13:05 and the third flight PG277 will leave Bangkok (Suvarnabhumi Airport) at 17:30 to arrive in Phuket at 18:50.

The first flight on the Phuket-Samui route PG252 will leave Phuket at 09:35 arriving Samui at 10:30, the second flight PG254 will leave Phuket at 13:45 arriving in Samui at 14:40 and the third flight PG256 will leave Phuket at 16:35 to arrive in Samui at 17:30.

A single ticket on the Bangkok-Chiang Mai route costs 1,905 Baht, while a Bangkok-Phuket flight costs 2,240 baht and tickets on the Phuket-Samui flights costs 1,900 baht. These special fares are exclusive of airport taxes, insurance and fuel surcharge, and available until October 25.

Currently, Bangkok Airways operates Airbus 319 and Boeing 717 on its Bangkok-Chiang Mai and Bangkok-Phuket route.
