Tiger Airways has appointed Mr Chin Sak Hin as its Chief Financial Officer. An airline financial veteran, Sak Hin will join the company in June, from his current role as CFO at SIA Engineering Company, a Singapore Exchange listed subsidiary of Singapore Airlines.

Sak Hin will report to Tony Davis, Chief Executive Officer and President of Tiger Aviation. In his new role, he will be responsible for all group financial planning, control and reporting of the company and its wholly owned subsidiary companies in Singapore and Australia. Sak Hin has extensive and relevant aviation experience across the Asia Pacific region, as Tiger Airways embarks on its next phase of growth.

“I am looking forward to join the dynamic environment of a successful start up like Tiger Airways. With the positive momentum to date, my objective is to ensure that Tiger Airways is poised for its next stage of expansion. I can’t wait to sink my teeth into the new and exciting challenges ahead,” said Sak Hin.

Prior to his current role as CFO at SIA Engineering Company, Sak Hin has held various positions in Singapore Airlines for the last 25 years, with both overseas and head office P&L responsibilities. These include country manager in New Zealand and Vice President Treasury. Sak Hin started his career as an auditor with Ernst & Young.

Sak Hin holds a Bachelor of Accountancy (Honours) degree from the National University of Singapore and has completed an executive management program at Stanford University.
