Singapore Airlines enhances Duty Free Service

Travel News Asia Latest Travel News Wednesday, 6 February 2008

Singapore Airlines has launched a new pre-order function on its online inflight sales portal, krisshop.com, allowing customers to shop before they fly.

To place a pre-order, all customers have to do is to visit krisshop.com, choose the duty-free items they wish to purchase, and select the option to have the items collected onboard their next Singapore Airlines flight. This service is exclusive to customers departing from Singapore and comes at no extra cost. Orders have to be placed a minimum of three days in advance.

Customers can also take their pick from exclusive pre-order specials, which are updated frequently. Current exclusive pre-order specials include the Montblanc A380 Star Walker Fineliner Special Edition, commemorating the inaugural Singapore Airlines A380 flights.

Products on offer at krisshop.com include top-end lifestyle designer brands, beauty products, travel accessories and collectors items exclusive only to Singapore Airlines.

The products are also available to non-travellers through mail order, who can enjoy shopping therapy with a click of the mouse. Delivery is free for addresses in Singapore, however, retail shoppers will be charged GST on their purchases. For addresses outside Singapore, shoppers will be charged delivery fees and any applicable customs duties and taxes.
