Imperial Palace Hotel in Mumbai joins WORLDHOTELS as Deluxe Collection Member

Travel News Asia Latest Travel News Friday, 4 April 2008

The Imperial Palace Hotel, part of an exclusive new 240-acre estate in the heart of Mumbai western suburbs in India, has joined WORLDHOTELS as a member of the Deluxe Collection.

The 417-room hotel is part of the Royal Palms Estate, incorporating the prestigious Royal Palms Golf & Country Club, in the city's 'green belt' seven kilometers from Mumbai's Sahar International Airport and close to the city's exhibition centre.

In a picturesque 'zero pollution zone' valley bordering a lake, the Imperial Palace features a spa, state-of- the-art business centre, and conference and banqueting facilities for up to 300. F&B options include a specialty restaurant and coffee shop.

The Imperial Palace is one of three hotels, including the Park Plaza, in the exclusive Royal Palms Estate development.

The eco-resort also incorporates over two thousand designer homes and luxury serviced apartments, a shopping village, IT Park and offices, convention centre and entertainment centre - plus a bird aviary and Roman-style 'Tivoli Gardens'.

The highlight of the development is the Royal Palms Country Club, with a host of recreation, health and fitness facilities, and Royal Palms Golf & Country Club, with an 18-hole golf course.

The master plan for the development was conceived by Wimberly, Allison, Tong & Coo, who created the 'Lost Palace' at Sun City, South Africa.

"At Royal Palms Estate, our endeavor is to offer an entire leisure and lifestyle concept catering to all classes and age groups. Goregaon is extremely popular with the prospective users due to its easy accessibility, pure environment, excellent connectivity and fast developing infrastructure" said Mr Dilawar Nensey, Joint Managing Director of Royal Palms Estate.
