Jetstar Asia launches Daily Flights to Macau

Singapore-based low cost airline Jetstar Asia, has launched daily flights between Singapore and booming Macau.

CEO Ms. Chong Phit Lian said, “Macau is an exciting destination with growing air link demand. Jetstar Asia’s offer of daily flights will add capacity, options for better value and comfort to travelers between Macau, Singapore and beyond. Jetstar Asia and its sister airline ValuAir operate a network of 14 cities in Asia using Singapore Changi Terminal One as its hub , and will be able to bring traffic from beyond Singapore to Macau”

The coming of Jetstar Asia is adding up Macau International Airport to 15 airlines and 25 routes. Under the great effort from all the airlines and units at Macau International Airport, the passenger volume reached 5.49 million, and the Southeast Asian routes recorded 24% up of the overall market share compared to 17.3% in 2006. This year, the strong lead in tourism and MICE industries further encouraged the development of other related industries. Macau International Airport’s passenger volume is expected to have further growth this year and the market will be more diversified.

Jetstar Asia operates out of the award-winning main Changi Airport Terminal One. Besides main terminal One that provides passenger’s total comfort, one can pre-select seat on-line and have 20KG luggage allowance.
