The Sukhothai Bangkok extends Spa Botanica Experience

Spa Botanica is extending its holistic wellness experience throughout The Sukhothai Bangkok by offering a Poolside Massage Service and Hand & Feet Care treatments in the recently refurbished Beauty Centre in the hotel.

The hotel’s swimming pool is popular among the hotel’s guests, but many don’t feel comfortable walking into a professional spa while they are still in their bathing suits. So Spa Botanica has brought its services to the pool, and closer to its guests.

“Poolside massages are what could be considered as a short form of Thai-style relaxation – more of an appetiser to what can be experienced in the spa,” said Spa Botanica Manager, Supapan Isarankura Na Ayudhya.

“We can entertain guests at the pool to complete the relaxation environment experience that takes in swimming, enjoying a light snack, playing tennis, exercising and spending time with family and friends,” she said.

Spa Botanica is offering a 45-minute Thai massage for THB2,000++, a 20-minute back massage for THB1,000++ and a 20-minute foot massage for THB1,000++ in three open-air pavilions at the head of the pool in the lawn area.

Treatments are kept short to allow therapists to focus on the feet and back using acupressure techniques that have an immediate effect to compliment the outdoor/exercise relaxation theme. No oils are used in the treatments.

Spa Botanica is also taking its concept into the hotel’s recently refurbished Beauty Centre on the second floor of the hotel with a focus on professional nail care, waxing services and relaxing foot therapy.

“The Beauty Centre has been expanded to be an extension of Spa Botanica,” said Ms Supapan. “It is convenient as hotel guests can come straight from their rooms without leaving the hotel building, which is especially good for physically impaired guests or those who are older.”

The Beauty Centre’s interior, features two specially designed suites with a massage area, steam shower/bath, Jacuzzi, relaxation area and sauna, and is decorated in Sukhothai style with silk walls and teakwood. It is also equipped with a professional pedicure chair that automatically conforms to the body shape.

The healthy Hands & Feet Care programme for women and men goes beyond simple cleaning, grooming, clipping and cuticle treatments by adding stimulating exfoliation scrubs and refreshing hydration masks. Waxing is also available for women and men.

Skin therapy undertaken during the treatments uses traditional Thai products including non-chemical antibacterial oils, which are naturally absorbed into the skin. While undergoing their hands and feet therapy, guests can also receive a concurrent massage using Thai herbal compresses.

The Poolside Massage Service is available daily from 10am–5pm. The Beauty Centre is open daily from 10am–8pm. Advance reservations directly to Spa Botanica are recommended.
