Boeing appoints New Vice President of Engineering and Technology - India

Boeing has appointed Naveed Hussain as its Vice President of Engineering and Technology for India.

"Naveed will strengthen our efforts to develop and implement engineering and technology strategies in this important and dynamic market that are mutually beneficial to India and Boeing," said John Tracy, Boeing senior vice president of Engineering, Operations and Technology and chief technology officer.

Hussain will report to Boeing's Office of Technology and to Ian Thomas, president of Boeing India. He will be based out of Boeing's India headquarters in New Delhi.

"Boeing is strengthening its presence in India and is deeply committed to the development of a strong aerospace industry. Naveed's addition to our in-country team is an important step forward and marks another significant milestone on our journey to becoming India's preferred aerospace and defence partner and provider," said Thomas.

Hussain has held numerous positions at Boeing over the past two decades. Most recently he was director of Flight Engineering for Boeing Integrated Defense Systems, where he had functional management responsibility for 1,500 Flight engineers. Hussain has also provided technical leadership on security programs, as well as on numerous commercial and government programs, studies, and proposals.

Additionally, he has been actively involved in leading strategic technology planning, R&D and product development processes. Hussain holds a Ph.D. from Stanford University in Mechanical Engineering and an M.B.A. from The Wharton School of Business, University of Pennsylvania.
