Travel News Asia Latest Travel News Podcasts Wednesday, 19 November 2008

David Ashworth has been appointed General Manager of the Six Senses Hideaway Samui. He reports directly to Six Senses Resorts & Spas Area Managing Director for Thailand, Mr Henry Gray.

David joins Six Senses from his previous role as general manager of Imperial Samui Hotel in Koh Samui. Prior to this, he was resident manager of Imperial Queens Park Hotel in Bangkok. David has more than 20 years experience within the hospitality industry where he has held various executive roles in the United Kingdom, the Caribbean, Singapore, Thailand, and Malaysia.

A British National, David holds Hotel Management and Catering Diplomas from Londons City and Guilds.

The luxurious Six Senses Hideaway Samui is set around a gently sloping headland on the northern tip of Samui Island amongst 20-acres of indigenous vegetation that ensures maximum privacy while offering uninterrupted panoramas of the Gulf of Siam and outlying islands.

52 of the 66 villas have private infinity-edged swimming pools that blend into the horizon and help maintain a feeling of seclusion, even though all of the resorts facilities are close at hand and augmented by personal butlers.
