The Imar Spa located in Umm Al Quwain recently welcomed Alison Potter, a new wellness consultant, who has developed an exclusive range of ‘Wellness Support Services’ unique to the ladies’ only spa and complementing the already extensive 60+ treatment menu.

Just a one hour drive from Dubai, the Imar Spa is a stand-alone five star ‘spa hotel’ which enjoys an excellent reputation for its detox and holistic well-being programmes.

The new range of support services encompasses Lifestyle Consultations (AED 400), Stress Reduction (AED 350), Organ Detoxification (AED 350), Well Woman (from AED 3000) and Chi Nei Tsang (AED 400).

“Our goal is happier, healthier people. We want to provide our guests at the Spa with not only their residential treatments but also the simple tools which they can incorporate into normal life when they’ve gone home. We want to really be instrumental in helping our guests achieve optimum wellness,” said Alison.

“I have several years experience in the field of wellness and have had the pleasure of working at places such as Chiva Som [in Thailand]. Wellness is not complicated. It is simply helping people be the best they can be,” Alison added.

Chi Nei Tsang is an abdominal massage which embraces a unique system of Chinese deep healing, working with the body’s internal energy flow to detoxify the five major systems in the body.

“By releasing stored up emotions and blocked energy which accumulates in the abdominal area, especially around the small and large intestine, we can achieve balance” said Alison. “…the stomach is like our second brain. Everything is connected and different stresses in life manifest in varying ways. No two people are the same. We are unique.”

Chi Ne Tsang is an effective massage to release both emotional and physical tension, restoring balance. It is particularly good for treating conditions such as Irritable Bowel Syndrome, constipation, bloating and eating disorders.

“I have achieved remarkable results for several clients throughout my career using Chi Ne Tsang massage. It works very well when also combined with colonic hydrotherapy and a wellness diet for total detoxification,” Alison said.

The 60 minute Chi Ne Tsang massages cost AED 400.

The Imar Spa features five guest suites (2 twin / 3 single) and all the facilities of a five star hotel including the Bon Bon Café, indoor swimming pool, fully-equipped gymnasium, aerobics studio, aromatic steam room, Jacuzzi, Hammam, Hair & Beauty Salon and a private sandy beach overlooking the islands of Umm Al Quwain.
