Rod Munro appointed General Manager of the Novotel Citygate Hong Kong

Rod Munro has been appointed General Manager of the Novotel Citygate in Hong Kong. The 440-room hotel with 4 restaurants and bar which houses one of the tallest revolving doors in the world is just a few minutes away from Hong Kong International Airport.

Rod joined Accor in Australia commencing with the former Grand Mercure Bowral Heritage Park. This was followed by other operations roles in Australia, New Zealand and Thailand including an assignment working with Accor’s Sydney Olympic Park hotels.

Rod relocated to Hong Kong in 2005 as General Manager, Headland Hotel Hong Kong at Chek Lap Kok International Airport, his most recent position.

The Novotel Citygate Hong Kong is only 5 minutes drive from the airport and 28 minutes from Central. The hotel is also in close proximity to AsiaWorld-Expo, Hong Kong Disneyland, Ngong Ping Cable Car and adjacent to Citygate Outlets with direct access to the MTR station.

Designed in contemporary minimalist style, the hotel has 440 stylish rooms and suites, with four executive floors, hotel-wide wireless broadband connection, wireless DECT phone and 32” LCD television. Facilities include 4 restaurants and bars, 7 function rooms, an outdoor swimming pool and a gymnasium.
