Lufthansa increases Fuel Surcharges on European and Long-Haul Routes

With the prices of crude oil and kerosene at record highs, Lufthansa has increased its fuel surcharges.

The fuel surcharge on domestic German and intra-European routes will increase by 3 euros to 24 euros per flight segment.

On long-haul  routes the corresponding fuel surcharge will be raised by 10 euros to 92 euros per flight segment.

The increases apply to all Lufthansa tickets issued on or after 16 June 2008.

Lufthansa last increased its fuel surcharges on 14 May 2008 on European flights by 4 euros to 21 euros and on long-haul flights by 5 euros to 82 euros.
