Nominations Open for 2009 AIME Industry Person of the Year Awards

Nominations have opened for the 2009 AIME Industry Person of the Year Awards that recognize best practice and contribution to the business events industry.

Established in 2006, the awards are presented each year at AIME and honour an individual from the Asia Pacific region and another from the international arena.

AIME International Industry Person of the Year Award winners have included Robin Lokerman (2006), Martin Sirk (2007) and Martin Lewis (2008). The Asia Pacific winners have included Sandra Passaro (2006), Anthony Wong (2007) and Elizabeth Rich (2008).

Acting Event Director, Elizabeth Sarian, said, “I’m sure we all know of people within the meetings and incentive industry that work tirelessly, who give their time freely to industry associations and organizations, or act as mentors to young people embarking on their own careers. It is these people that we hope to recognize each year at AIME.”

Submissions must be received by 8 February 2009.
