Royal Jet, an international luxury executive flight services company, headquartered in the UAE, has appointed a new Vice President of Commercial – John Morgan – as part of its business expansion strategy.

John Morgan, who has a BSc in Business Management from The University of Aston in the UK, has spent 20 years in the travel industry since first joining British Airways in Melbourne in 1988. His roles at BA included Area Manager, West Mediterranean and General Manager and Business Sales Manager.

He has also worked for British Midland in the role of Marketing and Sales Director and as Commercial Director with GB Airways, a franchise of British Airways. Prior to joining Royal Jet, John worked with Eos Airlines as its Senior Vice President for Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

“John is bringing to Royal Jet a breadth of experience in the Sales and Marketing arena which will be invaluable as we consolidate our next phase of business expansion,” said Shane O’Hare, President and CEO of Royal Jet. “We have restructured our sales operations, and John’s role will encompass revenue and pricing as well as yield management, looking at the whole gamut of tactical marketing across Royal Jet’s services with an eye on spreading the company’s dominance of the private jet industry further afield.”

John Morgan said, “I’m joining at a time when the private aviation sector, not only in the Middle East, but also worldwide, is facing rapid expansion, despite record oil prices and a slowdown in the commercial aviation sector. From everything I have seen, Royal Jet is well on its way to being recognised not just as a leader in the Middle Eastern market, but as a world leader in private air charter, and to enjoying a major increase in its market share in the up and coming regions of Asia, Europe and Africa.”
