PGA Qualified Professional joins Urban Fairways in Singapore

Travel News Asia Latest Travel News Thursday, 14 February 2008

Golf enthusiasts can now have private indoor golf lessons with a PGA professional in the comfort of Urban Fairways, an indoor golf lounge in Singapore.

Mark Bufton who is from Surrey, England, will be based in Singapore from February 21st. Bufton, 23, who holds a Foundation Degree in Applied Golf Studies from the University of Birmingham, has worked in renowned British golf clubs such as the private members Tandridge Golf Club and The DeVere Slaley Hall.

At Tandrige, Bufton developed a junior golf coaching program that was highly successful and resulted in a following of talented young golfers from around Britain.

At Urban Fairways, Bufton will focus on individual golf lessons for both beginners and experienced golfers.

“Learning golf indoors is just as essential as learning outdoors. Like world famous golf teacher Leslie King, I believe that when teaching golf initially, you don’t need to see the ball fly but rather focus on the golf swing. That’s why indoor golf coaching is so effective,” Bufton said.

Using training aids such as the ‘Explanar’- a golf training system available at Urban Fairways, Bufton hopes to add value to the services already available to customers of Urban Fairways.
