Win Tickets to the Hong Kong Rugby Sevens

Travel News Asia Latest Travel News Wednesday, 12 March 2008

Cathay Pacific has launched a unique competition that is sure to create a buzz in the build-up to the 2008 Cathay Pacific / Credit Suisse Hong Kong Sevens. The "Try and Guess!" competition invites people to guess the number of rugby balls filling a specially painted tram in Hong Kong - with 10 pairs of tickets for this year's sell-out rugby spectacular on offer as prizes.

The "Try and Guess!" tram will travel up and down Hong Kong Island from until 23 March and people are invited to guess how many rugby balls are packed inside. Participants can submit their guesses online at cathaypacific.com/hksevens, or by sending their answers by SMS to 6889-3777. The website features pictures of the "Try and Guess!" tram from different angles to help people with their estimates.

Participants can submit more than one answer by either SMS or through the website, though only one prize will be awarded to each winner. The deadline for entries is 11.59pm on Sunday, 23 March. Each of the 10 winners will receive two three-day passes to the Sevens, which takes place at the Hong Kong Stadium from 28-30 March. Winners will be notified starting from 25 March, and winners names will be posted on the competition website on 26 March.

Cathay Pacific General Manager Marketing James Ginns said, "The Hong Kong Sevens is a very special event, so we decided to come up with a special way to give people their last chance to get tickets for this year's tournament. Cathay Pacific is proud to be co-title sponsor of the Hong Kong Sevens and we are sure 'Try and Guess!' will generate a lot of excitement in the build-up to the event."
