Richard Chang appointed Director of Sales of Marco Polo Parkside, Beijing

Mr. Richard Chang has been appointed as Director of Sales of the Marco Polo Parkside, Beijing.

Mr. Chang, a Chinese national, is responsible for all sales and management of the corporate and leisure markets; he is also directly responsible to drive corporate, meeting and leisure business to the recently opened Beijing property, located only 1 km from the Olympic Park.

Previously Regional Director of Sales – Beijing of Marco Polo Hotels, Mr. Chang joined the group in 2002 and has played a key role in developing and growing the outbound business within the north east part of China. He began his career in the hotel industry with the Hilton Hotel in Beijing as Sales Manager and moved on to set up the Beijing National Office for the Hilton Group. He has also worked for the Harbour Plaza Hotel Group helping to set up its Beijing Regional Office prior to joining Marco Polo Hotels.

A mere 1000 meters from the Bird’s Nest, the 2008 Beijing National Main Stadium; the recently opened Marco Polo Parkside offers 315 guest rooms and suites. The hotel also features a wide variety of food & beverage options including Marco Polo’s Café Marco, a Chinese Restaurant and a lobby lounge outlet featuring the finest in designer coffees and exotic teas as well as nightly entertainment.
