XL Airways UK joins Boeing NG 737 Landing Gear Overhaul/Exchange Program

Boeing Commercial Aviation Services has signed XL Airways UK Limited to the Next-Generation 737 landing gear overhaul and exchange program. By utilizing the Boeing Service Center Repair Network, customers of the program will receive support anywhere around the world. The program provides quick, reliable access to landing gear repair and replacement which can help return grounded airplanes to service as fast as possible.

"Our landing gear exchange program will allow XL Airways to operate more efficiently by assuring they have the gears they need, when they need them," said Mark Owen, vice president of Material Management for Boeing Commercial Aviation Services.

XL Airways is one of the fastest growing charter airlines in the UK and is part of the XL Leisure Group, one of the largest travel groups in the UK. The airline flies to more than 100 destinations across three continents, with a fleet of 36 aircraft.
