World Aviation Systems – Western Australia appoints New Manager

Mr Leigh Cathcart has been appointed as Manager, World Aviation Systems – Western Australia, based in Perth.

Leigh has extensive experience in the airline industry. He joined Ansett’s international travel department in Melbourne in 1975 before moving to Air New Zealand in 1979.

In 1999, after serving in a range of sales and marketing roles, Leigh was appointed Sales Manager WA for Air NZ, before being promoted to Regional Manager WA.

Then in June 2005, Leigh was appointed WA Business Development Manager of the Travellers Choice Group.

“I am extremely pleased with this appointment as Leigh has extensive airline and retail expertise and is well known and respected in the WA market,” said Lars Olofsson, General Manager Sales, Marketing and Operations for World Aviation Systems.

“Leigh’s appointment will further develop our presence and assist us in expanding the business in the WA market, which is one of the fastest growing in Australia.”

World Aviation Systems has offices in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide, Perth and Auckland.
