New Radisson Hotel in Ahmedabad to open in 2008

Carlson Hotels is to develop a new Radisson Hotel in Ahmedabad, which is due to open in May 2008. Owned by West Inn Limited, the Radisson Hotel Ahmedabad will join a growing number of hotels in the Radisson portfolio across India.

Paul Kirwin, president, Carlson Hotels Worldwide - Asia Pacific, said, "Ahmedabad is an important base for commerce, trade and industry in Western India. Our presence in Ahmedabad will provide an attractive option to the growing number of business travellers to this city."

The hotel will feature 112 guestrooms which will feature wireless internet access, IDD, cable television with 24-hour international channels, tea and coffee maker, mini-bar, working desk and electronic locks. In addition, there will be a business centre, an outdoor swimming pool, gift shop, foreign currency exchange facility and a state-of-the-art health club with a fully equipped gymnasium and a jacuzzi.

Located centrally within seven kilometres from the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport at Panchvati Circle, Ellisbridge, the hotel is also close to tourist attractions such as Moti Shahi Mahal, Sardar Patel Stadium, Camp Hanuman Temple and Sanskara Kendra.
