Travel News Asia Thursday, 30 August 2007

The organisers of the Amadeus Thai Hospitality Awards are busy polishing the coveted gold statuettes, known as “Hospys”, and preparing to roll out the red carpet for one of the industry’s most prestigious awards night on 5 September 2007, to be held at the Royal Paragon Hall Bangkok in conjunction with the International Food & Hospitality Show 2007.

Tom Aikins, the event founder, said, “The Amadeus Thai Hospitality Awards are an annual highlight on the industry calendar. This year’s event will treat guests to an evening of glamour and provide a chance to meet the hospitality stars of today and tomorrow."

More than 300 top hoteliers, restaurateurs and industry professionals are expected to attend the event. Speakers include Tom Aikins and Bruno des Fontaines, Vice President, Hospitality, Amadeus Asia Pacific.

Commenting about the awards, des Fontaines said, “We’re thrilled to be sponsoring the Amadeus Thai Hospitality Awards. This is not only a golden opportunity to participate in the community’s premier red carpet event, but also a chance to support the tourism industry in Thailand. As a technology partner to the travel industry, Amadeus’ regional headquarters are based here in Thailand and we focus very closely on this market, continuing to provide technologies that add real value to our partners’ businesses as they grow with the industry.”

The Amadeus Thai Hospitality Awards will take place 5 September 2007 at 7pm at the Royal Paragon Hall Bangkok.
