British Airways Singapore launches Sydney Promotion

Travel News Asia Tuesday, 28 August 2007

British Airways in Singapore has teamed up with the DBS bank to make travel to Sydney a lot more attractive with an airfare promotion that offers greater space and privacy for less.

Until 16 September 2007, and valid for travel before 15 November 2007, all DBS and POSB credit card holders are eligible for a 10% discount off British Airways flights to Sydney. The promotion also applies to hotel and car hires made on British Airways website.

Steve Limbrick, regional general manager for British Airways South East Asia said, "With great deals on airfare, accommodation and car hire, travellers are encouraged to reward themselves with a pleasurable travel experience on British Airways' World Traveller Plus, with something left over for a superb time in Sydney this spring."

Sydney in springtime makes for an ideal travel destination, be it for business or pleasure. Between September and November, travellers can indulge in some of these quintessentially Sydney activities:

- Earthdance Sydney (16 September) - an alternative dance fiesta which blurs sonic boundaries, mashes genres and merges the unexpected

- Feastability (23 September) - a smorgasboard of eclectic international cuisines, Australian wines, boutique beers, confectioners, bakers and ice cream makers, underscored by sensational day long entertainment and kids activities

- Art & About 2007 (2 - 21 October) - The city of Sydney becomes a kaleidoscope of artwork with free installations, exhibitions and events

- Glebe Street Fair (18 November) - catch the 24th annual Glebe Street Fair, an iconic event on Sydney's cultural calendar, and be entertained by visual spectacles and an outstanding array of merchandise.
