THAI’s Royal Orchid Holidays launches Special Trips to South Africa

Thai Airways International is supporting an exhibition “Explore the World - Gateway to South Africa”, organized by Khun Duangdao Suwunarungsi, Photographer and Chief Executive Officer and Publisher of Nature Explorer magazine, the South African Embassy, Siam Paragon and Cannon Marketing (Thailand).

The “Explore the World - Gateway to South Africa” exhibition will be held until 4th February 2007, between 10.00 – 21.00 hrs. at the Lifestyle Hall on the 2nd Floor of the popular Siam Paragon shopping complex.

As the exhibition is expected to encourage visitors to South Africa, THAI’s Royal Orchid Holidays has launched a series of special packages to travelers wishing to visit.

South Africa Delight : Johannesburg- Cape Town – Sun City : 22-27 February 2007, 6 days / 5 nights

Johannesburg highlights include cape town, table mountain, cape of good hope, gold reef city- a replica of old-time Johannesburg., plainburg game reserve – home to an abundance of animal and bird life by taking an offbeat ride on an open jeep, overlooking animals.

In addition, passengers will experience special trips with the following special packages:

Grand Safari : 5-10 April 2007, 6 days/ 5 nights

The Safari forests is one of the highlights of South Africa for adventure tourism and wild life, especially the ‘Big Five’ of the Safari : Elephant, Leopard, Lion, Wild Buffalo and Rhinosauras. 

Cape town & Shark Viewing & Whale Watching : 20-25 October 2007, 6 days/ 5 nights

The program starts with West Coast Ostrich Farm, then a trip up Table Mountain on the cable way where the varying flora and fauna will be explained. The visit of center city to learn about the Mother City of South Africa, this includes a visit to colourful Bo-Kaap, flower market.

Next, Cape point reserve tour includes Kirstenbosch Botanical gardens, cape of good hope nature reserve, the funicular to reach the hillcrest at cape of good hope, the penguin colony at boulders beach. Moreover the most experiencing program is Shark viewing and whale watching. Excellent surface viewing is experienced from the boat’s upper deck to get an all-round view of the sharks attacking, circling and descending. When visiting South Africa Cape Town should not be missed. 

Victoria Falls Extension : Special program to Victoria Falls

Customers are able to select additional Victoria Falls extensions program when purchasing any Royal Orchid Holidays Packages to South Africa. The Victoria Falls extensions program is a special program which will explore Zimbawe Botswana and a cruise in Chobe river and in Zambezi river, seeing the spray from the falls and watching wildlife of the riverine forest, the greatest nature of Victoria Falls.

THAI operates three weekly flights on the route Bangkok – Johannesburg every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, taking 11 hours flying time utilizing Airbus A340-600 aircraft, capable of accommodating 267 seats (8 Royal First Class / 60 Royal Silk Class / 199 Economy  Class).
