Travel News Asia Friday, 24 August 2007

interTouch, a Singapore-based broadband Internet provider to the hospitality industry, has installed broadband service to the Grand Hyatt Tokyo.

The Grand Hyatt Tokyo is the third in the Hyatt hotel in Japan to be equipped with interTouch technology, after the Park Hyatt Tokyo and the Hyatt Regency Hakone.

Mr Charles Reed, CEO of interTouch, said, “Hotels in Japan and their guests have high expectations of technological offerings. interTouch’s growing presence in Japan reflects the strength of our high quality broadband solutions that fulfill the needs of modern business travelers as well as of the hotels themselves.”

The three-year contract will see interTouch providing the Grand Hyatt Tokyo a total of 468 access points, including 65 wireless points, to cover public areas, meeting rooms and guest rooms. Seamless integration will enable guests to log on to the Internet anywhere in the hotel. Hotel guests can expect an Internet experience that includes plug-and-play, 96% first time connect rate, and a 24-hour Helpdesk which guarantees hotel guests can access immediate advice any time of day or night as needed.
