Hertz New Zealand launches Great Southern Experience Rental Packages

Travel News Asia Tuesday, 22 May 2007

Until 30 November, Hertz New Zealand is offering its popular Great Southern Experience rental package, giving travellers a combination of late model vehicles plus a choice of skiing or discounts off the price of more than 100 other activities, ranging from shopping to skydiving.

Among the inclusions are:

A competitively-priced late-model Hertz vehicle, from compact car to premium, 4WD Snow chains and a ski or snowboard rack and One ski lift voucher or one NZSuperpass coupon for every rental day.

The NZSuperpass offers a choice of skiing at 13 South Island ski areas including Coronet Peak, Mt Hutt and The Remarkables, and more than 100 South Island attractions and activities, including discounted heliskiing, skydiving and bungy jumping, or more sedate options including restaurant meals, retail discounts and entry to the International Antarctic Centre in Christchurch.

The number of activity vouchers depends upon the number of rental days. For example, for a five day rental a customer could choose two Cardrona ski lift vouchers and three NZSuperpass coupons for skiing or other great attractions and activities.

The choice of vehicles ranges from the compact Ford Focus or Toyota Corolla to the intermediate Ford Mondeo automatic, full-size Ford Falcon sedan, all-wheel drive Ford Territory, intermediate 4WD Ford Escape V6 and the top-of-the-range Toyota Prado VX 4WD.

Package prices start at NZ$146 per day for 2-3 days with a Ford Focus compact manual.
