Hertz Australia adding Toyota Kluger to Fleet

Travel News Asia Latest Travel News Friday, 19 October 2007

Hertz customers will be among the first in Australia to experience the all-new Toyota Kluger SUV, which the company is now introducing progressively at key rental locations around the country.

Hertz is introducing seven-seat versions of the new Toyota Kluger, which will be used to expand the company's fleet of vehicles in the SUV class. The new 2WD Kluger is also one of the most fuel-efficient vehicles in its class, offering customers the ability to save on fuel without sacrificing vehicle size.

"Toyota expects the new Kluger to be a big success in Australia, and we are delighted to be a launch customer for this exciting new vehicle," said Wayne Burgoyne, Director of Sales and Marketing for Hertz Australia.

"The seven-seat Kluger is ideal for family travel, offering a combination of space, comfort and safety," Mr Burgoyne added. "In addition to front and rear airbags, anti-skid brakes, traction control and stability control, the Kluger offers the added safety of a rear view camera, which enables drivers to see both people and objects behind the vehicle when it is reversing."

Initially, Hertz is introducing the Kluger at key locations in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane, but has plans to offer them in other locations around the country. The first vehicles are already available for rental, and more will be added to the Hertz fleet in time for the long Christmas-New year break.
