Travel News Asia Wednesday, 17 January 2007

Reed Travel Exhibitions has selected the judges for the AIME 2007 Stand Awards from a prestigious group of industry professionals.

Bryan Humphris, life member of Exhibition and Event Association of Australia (EEAA), Kevin Doherty, General Manager of EEAA, Linda Gaunt, CEO of Meeting and Events Australia (MEA) and Martin Sirk, CEO of International Congress and Convention Association (ICCA) have been named as the panel for 2007.

All four judges have a wealth of exhibition experience and know exactly what it takes to design a stand that complements and promotes a company’s brand, effectively communicates a message and attracts visitors to stop and buy.

The AIME Best Stand Awards will be judged in four categories:

- Best Single Exhibitor Stand;
- Best Multi-Exhibitor Stand;
- Most Creative Stand Design and
- Best New Exhibitor Stand.

When judging the Best Single, Multi and New Stands, judges will look at the general presentation of the stand, clear presentation of the product being sold, accessibility, originality, staff attitude and dress, use of light and colour and creative input.

For the Most Creative Stand Award judges will also take into account creativity, imaginative use of materials, ability to attract attention and clever incorporation of stand number and identity.

“The awards are an important part of AIME and are an acknowledgment of the hard work and expertise exhibitors make to their stand and ultimately the success of the show,” said Event Director Rosemarie Sama.

All exhibitors are eligible to win a stand award which will be judged on Tuesday, 13th February. The AIME Awards will be presented on Wednesday, 14th February at 9.45am on the concourse outside the main entry.
