Rocks Hotel adds Old-Style Touch of Class to Macau's Rapid Modernisation

In a destination increasingly famous for large ultra-modern casino hotels, the opening of the Rocks Hotel in Macau’s Fisherman’s Wharf has added a touch of old-style class reminiscent of Europe over 100 years ago.

The 72 rooms and suites offer sea views (from your antique bathtub), a 32-inch LCD screen and free in-room broadband internet service. The spiral marble staircase and the three crystal chandeliers in the atrium define the character of the Victorian-influenced property which even offers an English style pub. For the more health conscious there is a full gym and a business centre for those that need to work.

“It’s like travelling back to the Victorian era, but with modern amenities,” said hotel manager Mr Joseph Chan. “There is no other place like the Rocks Hotel in Macau.”

Outside, Macau Fisherman’s Wharf is the first themed entertainment complex in Macau, occupying an area of over 111,500 square metres. It offers entertainment, retail, food, hotel, marina, convention and exhibition facilities in one place.
